UrgoStart Contact - (10cmx10cm)

UrgoStart Contact (10x10cm) is an advanced, non-adhesive wound contact layer designed to reduce the healing time of chronic wounds. It is composed of a flexible polyester textile mesh impregnated with the patented TLC-NOSF Healing Matrix.

Protease Inhibition: NOSF acts as a healing accelerator by neutralizing excess Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs). These enzymes, when present in excess, degrade the extracellular matrix and stall the healing process in chronic wounds.

Moist Healing Environment: On contact with wound exudate, the TLC particles form a lipido-colloid gel. This maintains an optimal moist environment that promotes the proliferation of fibroblasts and endothelial cells, which are essential for tissue repair and angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation).

Target Wounds: Specifically indicated for non-infected chronic wounds such as leg ulcers (venous or mixed), pressure ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers. It is also used for long-standing acute wounds.

Proven Results: Recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for its ability to close wounds significantly faster—reducing healing time by an average of 100 days compared to standard neutral dressings.
