Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm belongs to the class of drugs known as retinoids (synthetic or man-made vitamin A). Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm is primarily used to treat acne (pimples) and sun-damaged skin. Acne is a skin condition that is common and occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil.

Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm contains tretinoin, also known as retinoic acid (a form of vitamin A) that loosens and unblocks pores on the skin’s surface by reducing the oil secretion in the skin. This prevents the formation of pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads.

Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm is for external use only. Your doctor will advise you on how often you use Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm based on your medical condition. Avoid contact of Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm with nose, mouth, eyes, ears, or vagina. In case Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dry skin, peeling, redness, burning, itching, or stinging sensation of the skin. Most of these side effects of Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands before and after applying Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm. Before using it, try to clean and dry the affected skin area. Applying Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm to wet skin may cause skin irritation, so try not to wash the treated area. Also do not apply other skin products for at least 1 hour after applying Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm. Wash the face with mild soap and pat the skin dry. Take a small pearl-sized amount of Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm on the fingertip and apply on the clean and dry affected area once a day in the evening. Avoid contact of Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm with nose, mouth, eyes, ears or vagina. In case Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Tretin 0.025% Cream 30 gm may interact with vitamin A-related drugs known as retinoids (isotretinoin), photosensitizing agents (aminolevulinic acid, methoxsalen, porfirmer, verteporfin), sensitizer (methyl aminolevulinate), keratolytic agents (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, sulfur), antiseptic (resorcinol).
