Digene Tablets Acidity & Gas Relief Orange flavour 15'S belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. Digene Tablets Acidity & Gas Relief Orange flavour 15'S is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium silicate (antacid), and Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, and Magnesium silicate work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.
